Support with My Aged Care

To access Government subsidised aged care services you need to register with My Aged Care via telephone, online or through your GP. The next step in the aged care process is often to have a face to face assessment in your own home.

Many people often find these steps confusing and overwhelming and family members or friend's may not be available or nearby to help, so Compassionate Care Service offers you the opportunity to have someone sitting beside you, in your own home, to support you with registration and/or to support you and advocate for you during the face to face assessment process.

Client and carer support

Sometimes you or a family member or friend may need a home visit (including residential aged care) to have a cup of tea and chat about what is happening in your/their life. This visit may be because family members or friends live away, or are away on holiday and they would like someone to check in on your welfare, or it may be because you/they would like some regular company or an outing. You may also be a carer and feel like having a chat about the challenges of your caring role. Whatever the reason, Compassionate Care Service provides a home visit and outing service that provides you, or a family member or friend, with some time to have a chat and be your/themself.
